People Operations Coordinator – U.S. Region
Location: Gurgaon, India
Team: U.S. People Experience Team
Reports To: People Operations Manager
Working Hours: 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM IST
Position Overview
The U.S. region is refining its HR service delivery model and is in the early stages of building a Shared Services team in India to support People Operations. We are seeking a People Operations Coordinator to join the Shared Services People Team and support the delivery of a seamless and impactful employee experience.
This role will provide administrative, logistical, and data support across key moments of the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, transfers, and other employee changes. The role will also provide exposure to HR systems and tools such as Workday, SAP, background check portals, and other HR platforms.
This is a great opportunity for someone early in their HR career who is looking to build hands-on experience in People Operations and Shared Services. The People Operations Associate will work closely with the People Operations Specialist based in India and report to the People Operations Manager in the U.S. region.
Key Responsibilities
Initiate Workday HRIS transactions for review and approval by the U.S. People Experience Team across key employee lifecycle events, including onboarding, offboarding, transfers, and other employee changes.
Support the onboarding process for new hires by creating profiles and positions, hiring employees in Workday, and aligning organizational and compensation data to new hire profiles.
Assist with talent and performance management processes by pulling reviews, competencies, and data for stakeholders within the Career Development team.
Manage spot awards and other recognition-related processes and programs.
Coordinate with stakeholders across regions and time zones to ensure timely completion of HR processes.
Maintain accurate employee data and documentation while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with internal processes.
Support process improvements and contribute to building scalable HR shared services practices.

Strong attention to detail with a structured, organized, and proactive approach to work.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
Strong collaboration and coordination skills, especially while working across different time zones.
Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience with HRIS tools such as Workday is an advantage.
Interest in learning and growing within HR Operations and Shared Services.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related field preferred.
2+ years of experience in HR operations, HR administration, or HR coordination.
Prior experience supporting the United States region is preferred.
Exposure to professional services firms or multinational organizations is preferred; consulting or similar environments would be an advantage.
Passion for people development, culture building, and continuous improvement.
Ability to work regular hours of 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM IST.
