Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager with 10+ years of relevant experience in IT, Networking, Audio Visual (AV), System Integration, ELV or Technology procurement.
The candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end procurement and strategic sourcing activities, including vendor development, supplier management, RFQ/RFP, commercial negotiations, purchase orders, BOQ-based procurement, project material planning, delivery tracking, inventory coordination and cost optimization.
The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of IT hardware, networking products, structured cabling, AV equipment and project-based procurement, along with excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end procurement activities for IT, Networking, AV and System Integration projects.
- Understand project BOQs, technical specifications, material requirements and project schedules.
- Source materials from OEMs, authorized distributors, dealers and suppliers.
- Identify, evaluate and onboard new vendors and suppliers.
- Develop and maintain a strong vendor network for IT, Networking and AV products.
- Float RFQs, collect quotations and prepare technical and commercial comparisons.
- Negotiate pricing, discounts, credit terms, payment terms, warranty and delivery schedules.
- Ensure competitive pricing and achieve procurement cost savings.
- Prepare and release Purchase Orders as per approved requirements.
- Follow up with vendors for order confirmation and timely delivery.
- Track critical, imported and long-lead materials.
- Coordinate with Projects, Sales, Pre-Sales, Design, Stores, Accounts and Management for procurement requirements.
- Ensure materials are procured and delivered as per project timelines.
- Coordinate with Stores/Warehouse for material receipt, stock availability and inventory planning.
- Monitor stock levels and avoid overstocking, shortages and dead inventory.
- Handle urgent and project-specific procurement requirements.
- Develop alternate sources for critical products and minimize supply risks.
- Monitor vendor performance relating to price, quality, delivery and service.
- Resolve vendor issues related to supply, quality, warranty, replacement and commercial terms.
- Coordinate with Accounts/Finance regarding vendor invoices, payment terms and outstanding issues.
- Maintain proper procurement documentation, vendor records, quotations, comparative statements and Purchase Orders.
- Prepare regular procurement MIS and management reports.
- Monitor purchase price variance, procurement savings and pending deliveries.
- Continuously identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement and supplier optimization.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and approval procedures.

Candidate Requirements
- 10+ years of relevant experience in Procurement / Purchase / Strategic Sourcing.
- Mandatory experience in IT / Networking / AV / System Integration / ELV / Technology procurement.
- Strong experience in project-based procurement and BOQ-based purchasing.
- Strong vendor network and market knowledge.
- Excellent negotiation and commercial skills.
- Good understanding of IT, Networking and AV products.
- Ability to identify alternative brands/products and suppliers.
- Strong analytical, communication and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple procurement requirements and project deadlines.
- Experience dealing with OEMs, distributors and authorized dealers will be preferred.
- Experience in import procurement will be an added advantage.
- Experience managing a procurement team will be an advantage.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Procurement or a related field.
- MBA / PG Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Procurement or Operations will be an added advantage.
