Job Description
Morning Star Dies is looking for a skilled Manual Lathe Turner to operate conventional lathe machines for precision machining and component manufacturing. The candidate will be responsible for machining metal components according to technical drawings and maintaining quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate manual lathe machines for turning, facing, drilling, and threading operations
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and dimensions
- Perform machining of shafts, bushings, pins, and precision components
- Maintain proper tolerances and surface finish
- Select suitable cutting tools, speeds, and feeds
- Ensure machine maintenance and safe working practices
- Coordinate with the production team to meet daily production targets
Requirements
- Experience in manual lathe / conventional lathe machining
- Ability to read mechanical drawings
- Knowledge of measuring instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, etc.)
- Good understanding of machining processes
Qualification
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical / Turner Trade preferred
- Experienced candidates preferred (Freshers with training may also apply)
