- Design and develop centrifugal pumps / process pumps / submersible pumps as per customer and industry standards.
- Prepare 2D & 3D drawings using CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, or similar).
- Perform hydraulic, mechanical, and structural design calculations.
- Select appropriate materials, bearings, seals, and standard components.
- Prepare BOM (Bill of Materials) and technical documentation.
- Coordinate with production, quality, and purchase departments for design feasibility and cost optimization.
- Support prototype development, testing, and validation.
- Ensure designs comply with ISO / API / IS / ANSI standards.
- Provide technical support for manufacturing issues and field feedback.
- Participate in continuous design improvement and cost reduction activities.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of pump design principles and hydraulics.
- Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks / AutoCAD / Creo).
- Understanding of GD&T and manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of materials, casting, machining, and assembly.
- Basic knowledge of CFD / FEA is an added advantage.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in pump manufacturing industry (mandatory).
- Exposure to end suction, multistage, vertical, or API pumps is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with testing and performance curves is a plus
