Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced PEB Steel Fabricator responsible for fabrication and assembly of structural steel components for pre-engineered building projects. The candidate should understand fabrication drawings, welding processes, steel erection methods, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret fabrication/shop drawings and GA drawings.
- Fabricate steel structures such as columns, rafters, purlins, bracings, mezzanine members, staircases, and canopies.
- Perform cutting, drilling, fitting, grinding, and welding operations.
- Operate fabrication equipment like gas cutters, welding machines, drilling machines, and grinders.
- Ensure dimensional accuracy and fabrication quality.
- Coordinate with production, QC, and erection teams.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain workplace discipline.
- Assist in loading, dispatch, and erection support when required.
- Maintain material utilization and reduce wastage.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of PEB structural components and steel fabrication processes.
- Ability to read fabrication drawings and welding symbols.
- Experience in MIG/ARC welding and steel fitting.
- Familiarity with structural steel sections and connections.
- Understanding of fabrication tolerances and quality checks.
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD drawings preferred.
Qualification
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or Civil Engineering preferred.
- Experience in PEB or structural steel fabrication industry.
Preferred Software Knowledge
- AutoCAD (basic understanding)
- Tekla / SDS2 knowledge is an advantage.
