Key Responsibilities
- Blood Collection: Perform venous and capillary blood draws efficiently and painlessly across all patient demographics (pediatric, adult, and geriatric).
- Patient Verification: Strictly follow the 3-step ID check (verify patient name, hospital ID, and doctor's requisition) prior to any draw to ensure zero-error sample traceability.
- Specimen Processing: Process, centrifuge, and aliquot blood samples according to hospital Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) before handing them to the biochemistry or microbiology teams
- Infection Control: Maintain a sterile work environment, adhere to universal precautions (wearing PPE, sanitizing stations), and safely dispose of biohazardous sharps.
- Customer Service: Address patient queries, ease anxiety, and provide post-draw care (e.g., applying pressure to prevent bruising).
Qualifications & Requirements
- Educational Qualification: DMLT (Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology), B.Sc. MLT, or a certified Phlebotomy course from a recognized board.
- Experience: 0 to 3+ years of clinical or diagnostic laboratory experience, with a proven ability to successfully draw blood on the first attempt.
- Additional Requirements: Some roles may require a two-wheeler and driving license if cross-trained
Pay: ₹275,000.00 - ₹450,000.00 per year
