An Assistant Manager – Maintenance is a supervisory role responsible for ensuring that equipment, machinery, facilities, or utilities are maintained safely and efficiently while supporting the maintenance manager.
- Planning and supervising preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Leading maintenance technicians and assigning daily work.
- Troubleshooting equipment breakdowns and minimizing downtime.
- Coordinating with production or operations teams.
- Ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Maintaining maintenance records, reports, and spare parts inventory.
- Managing contractors and vendor services when needed.
- Assisting with budgeting, maintenance planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills required
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation systems.
- Preventive and predictive maintenance techniques.
- Root cause analysis and problem-solving.
- Team leadership and communication.
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related engineering.
- Relevant maintenance experience (often 3–8 years, depending on the industry).
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
