Job Summary
We are looking for a Quality Engineer for a hand tool manufacturing company. The candidate should have strong knowledge of CTQ (Critical to Quality) parameters, inspection processes as per drawings and SBD requirements, and experience in soft inspection and PDI activities. The role involves maintaining product quality standards and coordinating with production teams for quality improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-process, final, and PDI inspections of hand tools and components.
- Ensure inspection as per engineering drawings, specifications, and SBD requirements.
- Identify and monitor CTQ parameters during production and inspection stages.
- Perform soft inspection and visual inspection of finished products.
- Maintain inspection reports, quality records, and rejection analysis data.
- Coordinate with production and tool room teams for corrective actions.
- Handle customer quality requirements and internal quality standards.
- Ensure proper use of measuring instruments and gauges.
- Monitor non-conforming products and implement corrective/preventive actions.
- Support continuous quality improvement activities on the shop floor.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of CTQ parameters and quality control methods.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.
- Experience in soft inspection and PDI processes.
- Knowledge of SBD requirements and inspection standards.
- Hands-on experience with measuring instruments like Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, etc.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and quality documentation.
Qualification
- Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in quality inspection in manufacturing industry.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience in hand tool, forging, or automotive component industry preferred.
- Knowledge of ISO quality systems and documentation.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
Salary
- Negotiable as per experience and skills.
Working Location
Pay: ₹40,000.51 - ₹50,000.25 per month
