Job Summary
The Dietician will be responsible for assessing patients' nutritional needs, planning and monitoring therapeutic diets, and providing nutrition counseling to patients and their families in coordination with the medical team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess nutritional status of patients through consultation, medical history, and clinical data
- Plan, prescribe, and monitor therapeutic and general diets based on patients' medical conditions (diabetes, renal, cardiac, oncology, etc.)
- Coordinate with doctors and nursing staff to align dietary plans with treatment protocols
- Conduct patient and family counseling on nutrition, meal planning, and dietary restrictions
- Monitor and evaluate patient response to nutritional interventions, adjusting plans as needed
- Maintain accurate patient nutrition records and documentation
- Conduct nutrition education sessions for patients
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and hospital dietary policies
- Stay updated on clinical nutrition guidelines and best practices
- Assist in menu planning and ensuring nutritional adequacy of hospital meals
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Dietician in a hospital
- Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Nutrition & Dietetics or Clinical Nutrition
- Registered Dietician (RD) certification preferred
- Sound knowledge of therapeutic diets and clinical nutrition management
- Strong communication and counseling skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary medical teams
- Good documentation and organizational skills
