Freelance WordPress & Shopify Developer (Hyderabad Only)

Position Overview
OomaLabs is looking for skilled Freelance WordPress & Shopify Developers based in Hyderabad to join our growing freelance network.
This is not a salaried position. Developers will be assigned client projects based on their skills, availability, and performance. Compensation is based on a transparent Revenue Share Model, with payments released according to agreed project milestones.
This opportunity is ideal for developers who want to work on real client projects without the need to source clients independently while building a long-term relationship with OomaLabs.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Designing and developing responsive WordPress and Shopify websites
- Building Ecommerce websites
- Developing pixel-perfect websites from Figma, Adobe XD, or other design files
- Creating and customizing WordPress themes
- Customizing Shopify themes using Liquid
- Building complete WooCommerce stores
- Setting up complete Shopify stores, including products, collections, navigation, shipping, taxes, and payment gateways
- Installing, configuring, and managing WordPress plugins and Shopify apps
- Integrating third-party APIs and business tools
- Optimizing website performance and Core Web Vitals
- Implementing technical SEO best practices
- Performing website migrations
- Configuring domains, DNS, SSL certificates, email services, and Cloudflare
- Debugging website issues and implementing security best practices
- Testing websites before deployment
- Publishing websites to production servers
- Providing post-launch support when required
- Accurately estimating project timelines
- Maintaining clear communication throughout the project lifecycle
- Following OomaLabs' development standards and documentation practices

Eligibility
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Must currently reside in Hyderabad, Telangana.
- Minimum 1 year of professional experience in WordPress or Shopify development or a strong portfolio demonstrating production-quality work.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
Portfolio Requirements (Mandatory)
Applicants must submit a portfolio with live website links.
The portfolio should include:
- Business, corporate, portfolio, or landing page websites
- At least one complete Shopify store setup demonstrating store configuration, products, collections, navigation, payment gateway, shipping, and tax setup
- At least three fully functional eCommerce website built using WooCommerce or Shopify
- Responsive, production-ready websites optimized for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices
Candidates applying for Shopify projects must demonstrate hands-on Shopify store setup experience through their portfolio.
Applications without a portfolio, live website links, or relevant Shopify/eCommerce projects will not be considered.

Compensation
This role follows a transparent Revenue Share Model.
There is no fixed monthly salary. Developers receive a percentage of the revenue generated from each assigned project.
General Developer Tier
- 30% revenue share per project
- Applicable for the first five (5) successfully completed projects
Senior Developer Tier
Developers who consistently deliver high-quality work, meet deadlines, maintain professional communication, and successfully complete their initial five projects may be promoted to the Senior Developer Tier.
Senior Developers receive:
- 38% revenue share per project
- Priority allocation for larger and higher-value projects
- Long-term collaboration opportunities
Promotion is based on overall performance and quality standards determined by OomaLabs. Completion of five projects does not automatically guarantee promotion.
Payments are released according to agreed project milestones after successful delivery.
