Job Title: Accountant – Supermarket & Agency Accounts

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage and maintain the financial records of our supermarket and agency operations. The ideal candidate will handle all accounting activities including data entry, reconciliation, reporting, inventory control, and tax filings, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain day-to-day accounts of the supermarket and agency, including sales, purchases, expenses, and receipts.
- Record and reconcile cash, bank, and credit card transactions.
- Handle accounts payable and receivable – follow up on payments and ensure timely vendor settlements.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports including sales summaries, profit/loss, and cash flow statements.
- Maintain ledgers, journals, and other financial documents in compliance with accounting standards.
- Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits.
- Maintain strong documentation and back-ups for all entries and reports.
- Support budget preparation, cost control, and financial planning activities.
- Communicate effectively with vendors, customers, and internal staff.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Proven experience as an Accountant.
- Sound knowledge of accounting principles and inventory management.
- Proficiency in Tally, MS Excel, or any other accounting software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task and manage work under deadlines.
Preferred Experience:
- 2+ years in a similar role (supermarket or trading agency environment).
- Understanding of local taxation laws and compliance requirements.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
