Job Summary
Cognowiz is hiring an experienced Higher Education Recruiter with 5+ years of experience in talent acquisition, candidate sourcing, screening, and recruitment coordination. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and hiring qualified professionals for colleges, universities, educational institutions, and related technology or administrative roles.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from job intake and sourcing through offer negotiation and onboarding.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing requirements, role expectations, and candidate profiles.
- Source qualified candidates through LinkedIn, job boards, applicant tracking systems, referrals, professional networks, and recruitment databases.
- Recruit candidates for faculty, academic support, administration, IT, healthcare, and other higher education roles.
- Review resumes, conduct initial screening calls, and assess candidates against job requirements.
- Coordinate interviews between candidates, hiring managers, interview panels, and institutional stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records in the ATS.
- Prepare and publish clear, inclusive, and ATS-friendly job descriptions and advertisements.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future vacancies.
- Communicate with candidates throughout the recruitment process and provide timely status updates.
- Support offer preparation, salary discussions, background checks, reference checks, and onboarding coordination.
- Track recruitment metrics, including time-to-fill, source effectiveness, interview activity, and placement status.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, client requirements, and applicable employment practices.
- Maintain strong relationships with candidates, hiring managers, staffing partners, and education-sector clients.
- Support recruitment campaigns, career fairs, campus outreach, and employer-branding initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional recruiting or talent acquisition experience.
- Experience recruiting for higher education, colleges, universities, academic institutions, or education-related organizations.
- Strong experience with candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer coordination.
- Proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, ATS platforms, Microsoft Office, and recruitment tools.
- Excellent knowledge of Boolean search techniques and online sourcing strategies.
- Strong communication, negotiation, organization, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple requisitions and hiring priorities simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to work with confidential candidate and employee information.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience recruiting faculty, professors, academic advisors, department staff, administrators, researchers, and education technology professionals.
- Experience supporting U.S.-based or international hiring processes.
- Knowledge of higher education staffing structures and recruitment practices.
- Experience with applicant tracking systems, recruitment CRMs, and vendor-management platforms.
- Familiarity with recruitment reporting and performance metrics.
- Experience in agency recruitment, RPO, staffing, or contract hiring.
- Professional certification in human resources or recruitment is preferred.
Pay: ₹9,455.48 - ₹30,836.01 per month
