We are a fast-growing timber trading company specializing in domestic and imported hardwood products. We work with manufacturers, furniture makers, sawmills, distributors, and industrial buyers across India. We are looking for a motivated sales professional who enjoys speaking with customers, building relationships, and converting leads into long-term business.
Key Responsibilities
- Call existing and prospective customers from our company database.
- Introduce the company's products and understand customer requirements.
- Generate qualified sales leads and convert them into confirmed orders.
- Build and maintain long-term customer relationships.
- Follow up consistently with prospects until closure.
- Update customer interactions, call notes, and sales status in the CRM or Excel.
- Coordinate with the operations team for quotations, order processing, and deliveries.
- Identify new sales opportunities through referrals and customer networks.
- Meet daily calling, follow-up, and monthly sales targets.
- Prepare regular reports on calls made, leads generated, and sales achieved.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication skills in Hindi and English (Bengali is an advantage).
- Strong telephone etiquette and persuasive communication.
- Ability to build rapport with business owners and purchase managers.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and email.
- Self-motivated with a target-oriented mindset.
- Good negotiation and follow-up skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1–5 years of experience in telesales, B2B sales, inside sales, or business development.
- Experience selling industrial products, building materials, timber, plywood, laminates, hardware, or related products is preferred.
- Graduate in any discipline.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Minimum 80–120 outbound calls per day.
- 15–25 meaningful customer conversations daily.
- 5–10 qualified leads generated per week.
- Monthly sales target as assigned.
- Customer follow-up completion rate above 95%.
