Job Title: Fitter (Fabrication / Assembly) Department: Production / Shop Floor Reporting To: Production Supervisor / Factory Manager Job Purpose To perform fitting, assembly, and installation of aluminum components, ensuring accuracy, quality, and timely completion as per drawings and specifications. Key Responsibilities 1. Assembly & Fitting Read and understand technical drawings, cutting lists, and work instructions Fit and assemble aluminum profiles, accessories, and hardware Perform drilling, tapping, cutting, grinding, and alignment work Ensure proper sealing (silicone, gaskets, etc.) where required 2. Machine & Tool Handling Use hand tools, power tools, and workshop equipment safely Operate basic machines like drilling, cutting, and grinding machines Maintain tools in good working condition 3. Quality Control Check dimensions, alignment, and finish as per drawings Ensure proper fitting of hardware (hinges, locks, handles, etc.) Identify and report defects or mismatches 4. Installation Support (if applicable) Assist in site installation of windows, doors, and façade elements Ensure proper leveling, fixing, and sealing at site 5. Safety & Housekeeping Follow all PPE and safety guidelines Maintain cleanliness of work area Avoid material damage and wastage 6. Coordination Work closely with CNC operators, supervisors, and helpers Report daily work progress and issues Required Skills & Competencies Ability to read basic engineering drawings Good hand skills and measurement accuracy Knowledge of aluminum fabrication and fittings Basic understanding of tools and machines Problem-solving attitude Qualification & Experience ITI / Diploma in Fitter or related field (preferred) 2–5 years experience in fabrication / aluminum / metal works Physical Requirements Ability to stand for long hours Capability to handle tools and moderate weight materials Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Productivity (units per day) Rework / rejection rate Accuracy of fitting On-time completion Material wastage control
