Job Description: English Teacher (Primary, Grades 3–5)
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons covering reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and speaking/listening skills aligned with curriculum standards
- Assess student progress through assignments, tests, and projects; provide regular feedback to students and parents
- Develop lesson plans, teaching materials, and differentiated activities to address varied learning levels
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and confidence in language use
- Integrate reading habits, storytelling, and creative writing exercises into the curriculum
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, attend staff meetings, and participate in school events and parent-teacher conferences
- Support students with learning difficulties through individualized attention or referral to support staff
- Manage classroom behavior and ensure a safe, productive learning environment
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, English, or related field (B.Ed. preferred)
- Prior teaching experience at primary level preferred (2+ years)
- Strong command of English language (written and spoken)
- Familiarity with age-appropriate teaching methodologies and curriculum frameworks (e.g., CBSE, ICSE, IB, or equivalent)

- Basic proficiency with digital teaching tools/LMS
