Role: Strategy & Analytics Consultant

Roles and responsibilities:
Few BAU works of the team include (but not limited to) –
- Monthly target setting and business forecasting for the company at channel/location/product level
- Annual operating plan activity – both top down and bottom up
- Analysis of business – growth/degrowth and variance from plan (premium, commission, loss ratio etc)
- Industry and competition analysis, market size estimation and market share tracking
- Pricing decisions for different motor products, and communicating the same
- Tracking topline and profitability of channels, products, locations, accounts; and steering accordingly
- Preparation of P&L and different KPI/MIS
- Process setting for new initiatives taken
- Liaising with sales, UW and other department stakeholders, and negotiation on multiple fronts (both in target setting and pricing)
- Manpower planning
Ad-hoc analysis (can be anything under the sun)

Desired skillset (and how you can check yourself if you are the right fit):
- Strong ownership (if you take on a task, you’ll get it done.. period)
- Attention to details and obsession to quality
- Roll-up your sleeves attitude (not all tasks are flashy, you know that, and you’re open to grind in the boring parts of the work)
- Good quant skill
- Strong analytical ability (if you are asked to find out in which product we are degrowing, you will be able to prepare the right data and find the answer)
- Strong curiosity/investigative mindset (in the above example, you will also dig out the reason of degrowth, even if we didn’t ask for it)
- Must be proficient in Excel (you know your vlookups and pivot tables)
- Good interpersonal skills (you have the composed nature to handle stakeholders during negotiations)
