Job Title: Bakery Assistant
Job Summary:
A Bakery Assistant supports daily bakery operations by helping prepare baked goods, maintaining cleanliness, assisting customers, packaging products, and ensuring food safety standards are followed.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist bakers in preparing and baking bread, cakes, pastries, cookies, and other bakery products.
- Measure, mix, and prepare ingredients according to recipes.
- Package, label, and arrange bakery products for display and sale.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and storage areas.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Monitor ingredient and product stock levels and report shortages.
- Assist with receiving and storing supplies and ingredients.
- Help decorate cakes and pastries when required.
- Provide customer service and answer basic product inquiries.
- Support inventory management and daily bakery operations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Basic knowledge of baking and food handling practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads.
- Willingness to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays if needed.
