Bakery Assistant
A Bakery Assistant supports the daily operations of the bakery by assisting in food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, stocking ingredients, serving customers, and ensuring that bakery products meet quality and food safety standards.
1. Food Preparation & Production
- Assist bakers in preparing dough, batters, fillings, creams, and other bakery ingredients.
- Measure and weigh ingredients accurately according to recipes.
- Support the baking process by preparing trays, molds, and baking equipment.
- Help decorate cakes, pastries, cookies, and other baked products as instructed.
- Monitor product quality and report any issues to the Bakery Chef or Supervisor.
2. Product Display & Merchandising
- Arrange bakery products attractively in display counters and shelves.
- Ensure all products are properly labeled with names, prices, and expiry dates.
- Refill display items throughout the day to maintain availability.
3. Customer Service
- Greet customers professionally and assist them with product selection.
- Provide information about bakery items, ingredients, and special promotions.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints courteously.
- Pack bakery products carefully and efficiently.
4. Cleaning & Hygiene
- Maintain cleanliness of bakery workstations, equipment, and storage areas.
- Wash utensils, trays, mixing bowls, and baking tools after use.
- Follow personal hygiene and grooming standards at all times.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations.
5. Inventory & Stock Management
- Assist in receiving and storing raw materials and supplies.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages to the supervisor.
- Check ingredient quality and expiry dates regularly.
- Organize storage areas to ensure efficient operations.
6. Equipment Handling
- Operate bakery equipment safely under supervision.
- Clean and maintain bakery machines and tools.
- Report equipment malfunctions immediately.
7. Health & Safety Compliance
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
- Use protective equipment as required.
- Adhere to food handling and hygiene regulations.
- Maintain a safe and hazard-free work environment.
Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
