Role Summary: The Project Associate will support the research and development of novel MOF–MXene-based memristive devices for energy-efficient neuromorphic computing applications. The position involves assisting in materials synthesis, device fabrication, characterisation, experimental data analysis, and documentation to facilitate the successful execution of the project objectives.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the synthesis, processing, and optimisation of MOF- and MXene-based nanomaterials for memristive device applications.
- Support the fabrication, electrical characterisation, and performance evaluation of memristor devices using standard laboratory equipment and protocols.
- Analyse experimental data, maintain detailed laboratory records, and contribute to technical reports, research publications, and project documentation.
Key Skills
- Strong understanding of nanomaterials and semiconductor/materials science.
- Hands-on experience in materials synthesis and characterisation techniques (e.g., XRD, SEM, TEM, Raman, FTIR, UV–Vis, XPS, electrical measurements).
- Experience in experimental data analysis, scientific writing, and maintaining laboratory records; proficiency in Origin, MATLAB, Python, or similar data analysis tools is desirable.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a multidisciplinary research environment.
Qualification
- MTech (or final-year MTech awaiting results) in Materials Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Nanotechnology, Physics, or allied disciplines OR
- MSc in Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, or related disciplines
