We are looking for an experienced Backend Engineer to design, develop, and scale cloud-native applications and event-driven microservices. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in backend development, RESTful APIs, cloud platforms, and distributed systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to build scalable, secure, and high-performance backend solutions that integrate seamlessly with IoT platforms and third-party ecosystems.
Design and develop scalable cloud-native applications for AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Build and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services.
Develop microservices and distributed applications.
Build serverless applications using AWS Lambda and Azure Functions.
Implement event-driven architectures.
Own and enhance the integration platform for seamless communication across third-party vendor ecosystems.
Design and maintain event-driven architectures capable of processing high-volume device events using Kafka, MQTT, and cloud messaging services.
Develop microservices for device state synchronization across distributed IoT systems.
Develop and maintain voice platform integrations such as Alexa Smart Home and Google Home.
Implement OAuth 2.0-based account linking and token lifecycle management.
Build scalable backend APIs for real-time dashboards and device telemetry.
Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and AWS CodePipeline.
Collaborate with Product Managers, Solution Architects, QA Engineers, and development teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Required Skills
5–8 years of professional backend engineering experience.
Strong proficiency in Python.
Exposure to Node.js with TypeScript.
Experience with event-driven architecture using Apache Kafka, MQTT, or similar messaging systems.
Strong experience in RESTful API development and scalable microservices.
Hands-on experience with AWS (ECS, Lambda, S3, CodePipeline) or GCP (App Engine, Cloud Run).
Experience implementing OAuth 2.0, JWT, and secure authentication flows.
Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized deployments.
Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or AWS Code Pipeline.
Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Experience troubleshooting complex production issues across distributed systems.
Preferred Skills
Experience with IoT platforms and MQTT protocol.
Familiarity with Google Pub/Sub, Azure Event Hub, or AWS SNS/SQS.
Experience integrating Alexa Smart Home or Google Home.
Experience with Kubernetes-based deployments.
