Description:
Responsible for ensuring that all products and processes meet defined quality standards and customer requirements. The role involves incoming, in-process, and final inspection, along with implementation of quality systems and continuous improvement initiatives within an EMS environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Incoming Quality Control (IQC)
a. Inspect incoming materials such as PCBs, ICs, semiconductors, passive components, connectors, etc.
b. Verify materials against specifications, drawings, and quality standards
c. Coordinate with vendors for rejection, replacement, or corrective actions
2. In-Process Quality Control (IPQC)
a. Monitor production processes (SMT, THT, assembly lines)
b. Conduct stage-wise inspections to ensure adherence to quality standards
c. Identify defects and ensure corrective actions are implemented
3. Final Quality Inspection (FQC)
a. Perform final inspection and testing of finished goods
b. Ensure products meet customer specifications and quality benchmarks
c. Approve or reject finished goods for dispatch
4. Quality Systems & Documentation
a. Maintain quality records, inspection reports, and test results
b. Ensure compliance with ISO standards
c. Prepare documentation for audits (internal & external)
5. Root Cause Analysis & CAPA
a. Analyse defects and customer complaints
b. Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) using tools like 5 Why, Fishbone
c. Implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)
6. Vendor Quality Management
a. Evaluate supplier quality performance
b. Conduct vendor audits (if required)
c. Ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications
7. Process Improvement
a. Identify opportunities for quality improvement
b. Reduce defects, rework, and rejection rates
c. Support continuous improvement initiatives
8. Coordination
a. Work closely with Production, Purchase, and Engineering teams
b. Ensure quality requirements are communicated and implemented
Desired Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronics & Communication engineering
· Certification in Six Sigma / Quality Management
Desired Experience
· 2-5 years in Quality Assurance in EMS or manufacturing industry
Knowledge & Skills
· Strong knowledge of EMS processes (SMT, PCB Assembly, testing)
· Understanding of electric components and quality standards
· Analytical skills for defect analysis and problem solving
· Familiarity with quality tools
· Good coordination and communication skills
· Proficiency in Zoho and MS office
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹180,000.00 - ₹350,000.00 per year
