Job Overview
A Textile Designer in a handloom company is responsible for creating innovative fabric designs while respecting traditional weaving techniques. The role involves developing patterns, motifs, and color combinations suitable for handloom fabrics such as sarees, scarves, home textiles, and garments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design handloom fabric patterns, motifs, and color combinations.
- Develop designs for products such as sarees, dupattas, stoles, yardage, and home textiles.
- Work closely with weavers and artisans to translate designs into woven fabrics.
- Prepare graph designs, jacquard designs, or dobby patterns for weaving.
- Research market trends, traditional motifs, and customer preferences.
- Create design samples and supervise the sampling process on looms.
- Select appropriate yarns, textures, and weaving techniques.
- Ensure designs maintain the authenticity of handloom traditions while meeting modern market demands.
- Maintain design documentation, swatches, and production specifications.
- Coordinate with the production and marketing teams for new collections.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
