Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Telecaller with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the EdTech or Education industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling inbound and outbound calls, generating qualified student leads, counseling prospective students, scheduling counseling sessions, and supporting the admissions team in achieving enrollment targets. The candidate should possess excellent communication skills, customer handling abilities, and a passion for helping students make informed career decisions.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Student Lead Management
- Make outbound calls to prospective students from company-generated leads.
- Handle inbound inquiries regarding courses, certifications, training programs, and career opportunities.
- Qualify leads based on student interest, eligibility, and career goals.
- Generate quality admissions leads for the Academic Counseling team.
- Maintain regular follow-ups with prospective students until enrollment.
Student Counseling Support
- Provide accurate information about courses, curriculum, certifications, fees, batch schedules, and career opportunities.
- Understand student requirements and recommend suitable programs.
- Address student and parent queries professionally.
- Build trust and maintain strong relationships with prospective students.
- Encourage students to attend counseling sessions, webinars, demos, and orientation programs.
Admissions Support
- Schedule appointments for Academic Counselors.
- Coordinate online and offline counseling sessions.
- Assist students with the admission process and documentation.
- Follow up on pending admissions, fee payments, and enrollment formalities.
- Support the admissions team in achieving monthly enrollment targets.
CRM & Data Management
- Maintain accurate student records in the CRM system.
- Update call logs, follow-up details, and lead status after every interaction.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of inquiries and conversions.
- Maintain data confidentiality and compliance with company policies.
Sales & Conversion Support
- Convert inquiries into admissions through effective communication and follow-up.
- Handle objections and provide appropriate solutions.
- Coordinate with the Sales, Marketing, and Academic teams for smooth admissions.
- Participate in promotional campaigns and lead generation activities.
Reporting
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly call reports.
- Track inquiries, follow-ups, admissions, and conversion rates.
- Report customer feedback and market insights to the Team Lead.
- Monitor individual performance against assigned targets.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal communication skills in English and regional languages.
- Strong counseling and customer relationship management skills.
- Good persuasion and negotiation abilities.
- Knowledge of admissions and student counseling processes.
- Experience handling inbound and outbound calls.
- Familiarity with CRM software and lead management systems.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to achieve daily and monthly targets.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
- Certification in Customer Service, Sales, or Communication is an added advantage.
Preferred Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Telecalling, Academic Counseling, Inside Sales, or Customer Support within the EdTech, Education, or Training industry.
- Experience in handling student admissions and lead conversion.
- Familiarity with online learning platforms and professional certification programs is preferred.
