A Social Media Intern helps a company or brand build and manage its presence on platforms like Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
Typical responsibilities include:
- Creating and scheduling social media posts
- Writing captions and basic copy
- Making or assisting with reels, graphics, and short videos
- Researching trends, hashtags, and competitors
- Monitoring comments and messages
- Tracking metrics such as reach, engagement, and followers
- Helping plan social media campaigns and content calendars
Useful skills: Canva, basic video editing, copywriting, creativity, trend awareness, communication, and familiarity with social media analytics.
