Job Description: Loss Prevention Executive (Retail)

Job Purpose
The Loss Prevention Executive is responsible for safeguarding company assets, reducing inventory shrinkage (stock loss due to theft, error, or fraud), and ensuring a safe shopping and working environment. This role combines proactive surveillance, regular auditing, and staff training to minimize financial loss and maintain high operational standards across the retail store.
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Control & Shrinkage Reduction: Conduct regular stock audits, cycle counts, and variance analysis to identify and investigate discrepancies. Implement action plans to minimize inventory shrinkage.
- Surveillance & Floor Monitoring: Monitor CCTV systems and conduct floor patrols to detect and prevent shoplifting, internal fraud, or vandalism.
- Compliance Audits: Regularly audit store operations, point-of-sale (POS) transactions, cash handling procedures, and stockroom security to ensure full compliance with company policies.
- Investigation & Reporting: Lead investigations into suspected theft, policy violations, or suspicious data trends. Prepare detailed incident reports and collaborate with law enforcement when necessary.
- Staff Training & Awareness: Educate and train store associates on loss prevention techniques, shoplifting indicators, and secure inventory handling to build a proactive security culture.
- Safety & Emergency Response: Ensure fire exits, security alarms, and safety equipment are fully functional. Serve as a key responder during emergencies or security breaches.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Shrinkage Percentage: Percentage reduction in annual/quarterly stock loss against the store budget.
- Audit Score: Overall compliance rating achieved during internal operational and security audits.
- Incident Resolution Time: Speed and accuracy in investigating security breaches and filing actionable reports.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
