Position Overview:
We are looking for a highly strategic and execution-oriented Social Media Strategist to lead the end-to-end social media presence of our cybersecurity university. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing growth strategies, increasing brand awareness, generating qualified leads, and executing high-impact campaigns across multiple platforms.
This role requires someone who combines creativity, analytics, content marketing, community management, and paid social expertise to build a strong digital presence and position the brand as a thought leader in cybersecurity education.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute quarterly social media strategies and content calendars aligned with business objectives, brand positioning, and growth targets.
- Plan, create, publish, and optimize engaging content across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube, and emerging social platforms while maintaining a consistent brand voice.
- Manage end-to-end social media operations, including content scheduling, platform optimization, and coordination with internal stakeholders, designers, and external agencies.
- Lead community engagement and Online Reputation Management (ORM) by monitoring social channels, responding to inquiries, managing conversations, and safeguarding brand reputation.
- Design and execute organic lead generation campaigns, driving webinar registrations, inquiries, and student enrollments through strategic social initiatives.
- Plan, execute, and optimize paid Meta (Facebook & Instagram) campaigns, managing audience targeting, budgets, creatives, and performance metrics to maximize ROI.
- Drive brand awareness and thought leadership through innovative initiatives such as Faculty Masterclass LIVE sessions, expert interviews, industry campaigns, and employee advocacy programs.
- Develop and manage testimonial and social proof campaigns by conducting outreach, creating customer success stories, and repurposing existing content into high-performing short-form assets.
- Analyze and report social media performance using key metrics including follower growth, engagement, reach, impressions, lead generation, conversions, website traffic, and paid campaign effectiveness, providing actionable insights for continuous improvement.
- Identify emerging social media trends, audience behaviors, and digital marketing opportunities to continuously enhance brand visibility, engagement, and competitive positioning.
- Leverage AI-powered marketing and productivity toolsincluding ChatGPT, Claude, Sprout Social, Gamma, Grammarly, Jasper AI, Canva, Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, Looker Studio, and LinkedIn Campaign Managerto streamline content creation, campaign management, analytics, and reporting.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, admissions, academic, and leadership teams to support integrated campaigns, business objectives, and organizational growth.
- Own end-to-end social media and digital marketing initiatives, ensuring all campaigns are executed on time, within budget, and aligned with brand and business goals.
- Manage relationships with creative team and agencies, ensuring timely delivery, quality standards, brand consistency, and achievement of campaign KPIs
Experience and Requirements:
- 58 years of experience in social media strategy, digital marketing, or growth marketing.
- Experience managing B2B, education, technology, SaaS, or cybersecurity brands is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated success in growing social communities and generating measurable business leads.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Marketing, Business, or a related field required.
- Master's degree preferred. Relevant certifications in Meta, Google Analytics/Ads, HubSpot, or social media/digital marketing, along with proficiency in AI and marketing automation tools, are highly desirable.
