Key Responsibilities:
Guest Experience Management:
- Ensure a welcoming guest experience and maintain high service standards.
- Personally handle escalations and ensure timely resolution of complaints.
Order & Service Oversight:
- Oversee accurate order processing and timely service delivery.
- Maintain in-depth menu and beverage knowledge to guide guests effectively.
Team Leadership & Staffing:
- Recruit staff through professional networks and references.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate staff performance.
- Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews.
Purchase & Inventory Management:
- Manage procurement based on forecasted demand and operational requirements.
- Negotiate with vendors and monitor cost control and wastage.
Operational & Compliance Oversight:
- Ensure adherence to company policies, hygiene standards, and statutory regulations.
- Coordinate with local authorities, including police and municipal officials, when required.
Administrative & HR Coordination:
- Monitor attendance, rostering, and coordinate payroll with HR.
- Maintain documentation, licenses, and compliance records.
Financial Management & Reporting:
- Monitor daily sales, control expenses, and analyse profitability.
- Prepare periodic operational and financial reports for management.
Marketing & Business Development:
- Support promotional activities, local marketing initiatives, and event planning.
- Build relationships with regular guests to drive repeat business.
Crisis & Risk Management:
- Handle emergency situations effectively and ensure staff preparedness.
- Implement loss prevention and safety measures.
Vendor Management
- Identify, onboard, and maintain strong relationships with approved vendors and suppliers.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality standards.
- Evaluate vendor performance regularly to ensure reliability and consistency.
Strategic Planning & Business Growth
- Develop and execute strategies to improve revenue, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
- Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and service innovations to enhance brand positioning.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a supervisory role in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
- Strong customer service skills with a proven ability to manage difficult situations gracefully.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a high-pressure environment.
- Knowledge of food and beverage service, including wine and cocktail pairings.
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
