We are looking for a Freshsales CRM expert to work directly with the CEO in building and optimizing our outbound sales and marketing operations.
Role Overview
This role is centered around Freshsales CRM. We are looking for someone who has deep expertise in the platform and can help us maximize its capabilities for CRM management, marketing automation, customer journeys, workflows, segmentation, reporting, and campaigns.
Our current outbound strategy is primarily cold email, executed through Smartlead.ai. As our business grows, the role will expand into additional capabilities such as CRM marketing campaigns, LinkedIn outreach, social engagement, and other marketing automation initiatives.
The successful candidate should be consultative, stay current with platform capabilities, and recommend best practices as our sales and marketing operations evolve.
Key Responsibilities
Freshsales CRM (Primary Responsibility)
- Own and optimize our Freshsales CRM implementation.
- Build and manage workflows, automations, customer journeys, campaign branching, segmentation, dashboards, and reports.
- Organize and maintain leads, contacts, accounts, institutional hierarchies, and sales pipelines.
- Design and execute CRM marketing campaigns, newsletters, and CTA-based engagement programs.
- Maintain high-quality CRM data and recommend platform best practices.
Outbound Campaign Operations
- Execute and manage cold email campaigns using Smartlead.ai.
- Monitor campaign performance and recommend improvements.
- Maintain campaign organization and reporting.
Lead Research & Growth Operations
- Research and build targeted prospect lists using Apollo.io, LinkedIn, and U.S. higher education institutional websites.
- Maintain accurate prospect data and support continuous improvement of outreach processes.
- Recommend new capabilities and operational improvements across our sales and marketing technology stack.
Required Skills
- Expert-level experience with Freshsales CRM is essential.
- Proven experience building CRM workflows, automations, customer journeys, segmentation, email campaigns, dashboards, and reporting.
- Experience managing B2B email marketing or outbound sales operations.
- Experience with Apollo.io or similar prospecting platforms.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal English.
- High attention to detail.
