The Assistant Sales Manager supports the Sales Manager in leading the sales team, developing regional or local sales strategies, and monitoring performance metrics. This role requires a balance of strong selling skills, team mentorship, and data tracking to achieve organizational growth targets.
Key Responsibilities1. Team Leadership & Mentorship
- Supervise and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and collective sales targets.
- Train and onboard new sales executives, ensuring they understand the product line, pitching strategies, and company policies.
- Conduct performance reviews and offer constructive feedback or coaching to underperforming team members.
2. Sales Operations & Strategy
- Develop sales plans alongside the Sales Manager to expand the customer base and increase market share.
- Monitor sales metrics (KPIs) such as conversion rates, daily call/visit volumes, and overall revenue pipeline.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify new business opportunities or necessary adjustments to pricing and pitches.
3. Customer & Key Account Management
- Step in to close high-value deals or handle complex negotiations that require managerial authority.
- Resolve customer escalations promptly to maintain high levels of client satisfaction and brand loyalty.
- Build long-term relationships with corporate clients, distributors, or wholesale partners.
