As we are scaling towards adding global customers, we need a sharp, meticulous finance professional who wants to grow at a space startup. We are looking for a Finance Intern to assist with payments, books of accounts, and clean-up of historical financial records. This role sits at the intersection of bookkeeping, compliance, and financial planning. This is
a 6-month internship, perfect for someone looking to gain hands-on experience as a foundation for a broader startup finance career.
Key Responsibilities:
\u2022 Maintain accurate financial records and automate tools for vendor invoices,
employee reimbursements, and contractor payments.
\u2022 Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure clean GL entries.
\u2022 Clean up historical books of accounts - rectify misclassified entries, clear
unreconciled items, and bring ledgers up to date in Zoho Books.
\u2022 Prepare documentation for GST, TDS, ROC, RBI (FLA filing) in India.
\u2022 Keep compliance calendar updated and track deadlines.
\u2022 Organize statutory registers, board resolutions, and meeting minutes.
Candidate Profile:
\u2022 Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting/commerce (BCom/ BFM/ BAF/ Semi
qualified CA).
\u2022 Basic knowledge of Finance, Accounting, and Audit.
\u2022 Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills.
\u2022 Understanding of GST, TDS, basic corporate compliance.
\u2022 Meticulous approach to everything, never misses a number.
\u2022 Interest in the space sector and data-as-a-service (DaaS) business models.
\u2022 Experience with cross-border compliance (US/India entities).
\u2022 Working knowledge of accounting software (Zoho Books).
\u2022 Hands-on experience with payment processing and passing journal entries.
