Hiring: VTL Machine Operator (Manual)
Position: Vertical Turning Lathe (VTL) Machine Operator – Manual
Experience: Minimum 5 years (manual VTL operation)
Salary: ₹30,000 per month
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate manual VTL (Vertical Turning Lathe) machines efficiently
- Read & interpret engineering/production drawings
- Perform turning, facing, grooving, threading, boring, taper turning & OD/ID machining
- Set job, align tools, adjust cutting parameters (speed, feed, depth of cut)
- Inspect finished components using micrometer, vernier, height gauge, bore gauge etc.
- Maintain required accuracy, tolerance & surface finish
- Perform daily preventive maintenance and ensure machine health
- Follow safety guidelines inside the production area
Skilled Required:
- Strong experience in manual VTL operation (minimum 5 years)
- Knowledge of workpiece holding, tool setting & cutting tools
- Ability to maintain machining tolerance and quality
- Basic mathematical and measurement skills
- Experience in machining heavy fabrication / casting components preferred
Qualification:
- ITI / Diploma (Turner / Machinist / Fitter)
- 10th pass may apply if skilled and experienced
VTL (Vertical Turning Lathe) Manual Operations
- Operate manual VTL machines for machining forged components
- Perform turning, facing, boring, grooving, threading & taper machining
- Set job on chuck/table & adjust tools accurately
- Read & interpret technical/engineering drawings
- Check accuracy using micrometer, vernier, bore gauge, height gauge
- Maintain machine health & perform routine maintenance
Skills Required:
- 5+ years hands-on experience in steel forging & VTL manual operation
- Ability to handle heavy forged components
- Strong knowledge of machining parameters (speed, feed, DOC)
- Good understanding of steel grades & forging temperatures
- Knowledge of measurement tools and tolerances
- Safety-focused and experienced in handling hot metal
