Role Description
We're looking for a Buyer Success & Business Development Executive who enjoys being out in the market, meeting people, building relationships, and helping businesses grow.
This isn't a desk job.
You'll spend your time meeting importers, wholesalers, distributors, and traders, understanding their challenges, introducing them to Open Axis, and helping them unlock new sourcing opportunities through our platform.
If you enjoy conversations over coffee more than endless email chains, and if building relationships comes naturally to you, you'll fit right in.
What You'll Be Doing
- Meet prospective importers, wholesalers, distributors, and traders across assigned territories.
- Introduce buyers of nuts, seeds and spices to Open Axis and demonstrate how our platform can help streamline their sourcing and trade operations.
- Build genuine, long-term relationships with business owners and key decision-makers.
- Guide customers through onboarding, KYC, and account activation.
- Become the trusted point of contact for your buyer portfolio.
- Help customers make the most of the Open Axis Marketplace and related services.
- Drive repeat business through regular follow-ups and relationship management.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure a smooth customer experience.
- Gather market intelligence, customer feedback, and industry insights.
- Represent Open Axis at exhibitions, trade fairs, networking events, and industry gatherings.
What We're Looking For
- 1–3 years of experience in B2B sales, business development, logistics, import-export, commodity trading, wholesale distribution, or related industries.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Proven ability to generate new business opportunities and manage customer relationships.
- Comfortable spending most of your time on the field meeting customers.
- Self-motivated, commercially aware, and capable of working independently.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field.
- Prior exposure to international trade, commodities, logistics, or supply chain industries is a plus.
Language Skills
- Hindi – Essential
- English – Preferred
- Marathi – Advantageous
- Gujarati – Advantageous
