Business Head — Armed Guarding Services (Kolkata / West Bengal)

A Kolkata-based business group expanding into security services, providing professional armed guarding services to corporate, industrial, retail, and residential clients. The company focuses on compliance, training, client-centric operations, and technology-enabled security solutions.
Role Summary:
The Business Head will lead strategy, operations, business development, and P&L for the armed guarding vertical. You will build the brand, grow revenues, manage large client relationships, ensure statutory and regulatory compliance, and create a high-performance field and back-office organization. This is a hands-on leadership role combining commercial drive with operational discipline, safety-first culture, and community reputation management.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy & Growth
· Develop and execute a 3–5 year growth strategy for the armed guarding business aligned with group objectives.
· Identify market opportunities, target segments, and service offerings (e.g., static guards, cash-in-transit, executive protection).
· Set annual revenue, margin, and market-share targets; track and deliver against them.
Business Development & Client Management
· Drive new client acquisition, tendering, and negotiations for large and strategic contracts.
· Maintain and grow relationships with key corporate, industrial, retail, and government clients.
· Oversee commercial proposals, pricing strategies, and contract terms to ensure profitability and risk mitigation.
Operations & Service Delivery
· Ensure reliable, high-quality guard deployment, shift management, rostering, and incident response.
· Implement and monitor SOPs, performance KPIs, quality audits, and client SLAs.
· Optimize manpower planning, logistics, and resource utilization for cost efficiency.
· Compliance, Risk & Safety
· Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations (Armed Guard licensing, state police approvals, labour laws, PF/ESI, etc.).
· Implement rigorous background checks, licensing, firearms handling, and periodic re-certification.
· Build and maintain a safety-first culture; design incident reporting and investigation procedures.
People Leadership & Training
· Recruit, develop, and lead regional managers, operations staff, trainers, and supervisory cadre.
· Establish a structured training program (induction, firearms, crowd management, soft skills, legal awareness).
· Set performance management, incentive structures, and retention initiatives for frontline staff.
Finance & Administration
· Own P&L: budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and margin improvement initiatives.
· Oversee payroll, vendor management, procurement of equipment and uniforms, and asset control.
· Provide timely management reports and board updates.
Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹200,000.00 per month
