Job Title: HVAC Ducting Technician

Job Summary:
An HVAC Ducting Technician is responsible for the fabrication, installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC duct systems in commercial, industrial, and residential buildings. The technician ensures proper airflow, system efficiency, and compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret HVAC drawings, duct layouts, and installation plans.
- Measure, fabricate, assemble, and install GI/MS/SS ductwork.
- Install duct accessories such as dampers, diffusers, grilles, VCDs, FD/FSDs, and access doors.
- Install insulation for duct systems (thermal and acoustic).
- Perform duct leakage testing and rectify air leaks.
- Support installation of AHUs, FCUs, VRF, Chillers, and ventilation systems.
- Ensure proper alignment, leveling, and support of ductwork.
- Carry out maintenance and repairs on existing duct systems.
- Follow project schedules and complete assigned work on time.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Follow all safety regulations and use appropriate PPE at the worksite.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of HVAC duct fabrication and installation.
- Ability to read technical drawings and duct shop drawings.
- Familiarity with HVAC components and ventilation systems.
- Experience using hand tools and power tools.
- Understanding of air balancing and airflow concepts.
- Good problem-solving and teamwork skills.
- Basic communication skills.
Qualifications
- ITI/Diploma or equivalent technical qualification (preferred).
- 2–5 years of experience in HVAC duct installation (or as required).
- Knowledge of GI duct fabrication, insulation, and site installation.
