About the Role
We are looking for a 3D Environment Artist Intern to support the development of realistic, game-ready environments for our drone simulation project. You will work on creating and improving environment assets such as buildings, props, and natural elements, with a focus on real-time performance in Unity.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in creating 3D assets such as buildings, props, drones, rocks, and environment elements
- Support development of realistic PBR textures (concrete, metal, glass, etc.)
- Help build modular environment pieces for reuse
- Optimize assets for real-time performance (basic polycount and texture awareness)
- Prepare and export assets for Unity (scale, pivot, FBX export)
- Collaborate with the team and iterate based on feedback
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of Blender or 3ds Max
- Understanding of 3D modeling fundamentals (topology, UV unwrapping)
- Basic awareness of texturing workflows (PBR)
- Willingness to learn game optimization concepts
- Ability to follow references and instructions
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with Unity
- Experience with Substance Painter or similar tools
- Interest in environment art (buildings, props, natural assets)
