Job Summary:
We are seeking a Civil Engineer to plan, execute, and oversee civil and infrastructure projects across the institution, ensuring timely completion, quality standards, budget control, and regulatory compliance. The role involves coordinating with PSG institutions, consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal departments to deliver efficient, sustainable, and cost-effective engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead and manage civil engineering and infrastructure projects from planning to completion within defined timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
· Coordinate and collaborate with various PSG institutions, internal departments, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders for effective project execution.
· Conduct feasibility studies, site inspections, and project assessments to identify requirements, risks, and operational challenges.
· Plan and monitor day-to-day project activities including scheduling, procurement coordination, contractor supervision, and resource allocation.
· Prepare project budgets, BOQs, cost estimates, and coordinate purchase processing, payment follow-ups, and material delivery schedules.
· Supervise contractors, subcontractors, and contract workmen to ensure productivity, quality workmanship, and adherence to project timelines.
· Ensure compliance with local body approvals, statutory regulations, safety standards, environmental norms, and quality control requirements.
· Monitor project progress, identify risks and delays, and implement corrective actions to ensure uninterrupted execution.
· Review engineering drawings, technical specifications, and design documentation using civil engineering software tools.
· Maintain project documentation including reports, progress updates, approvals, revisions, and completion records.
· Lead project review meetings, provide technical guidance to junior engineers, and support strategic infrastructure planning initiatives.
· Ensure sustainable construction practices, effective utilization of resources, and continuous improvement in project execution standards.
Desired Candidates Qualifications
· BE/B.Tech in Civil Engineering and Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering / Project Management will be preferred.
· Minimum 15 years of experience in civil engineering and infrastructure projects.
· Minimum 3–5 years of experience in project leadership or project management roles preferred.
· Strong project management and leadership capabilities.
· Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
· Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, project planning, and execution practices.
· Ability to manage multiple projects, teams, contractors, and cross-functional coordination effectively.
· Strong problem-solving, risk assessment, and decision-making capability.
· Knowledge of statutory approvals, safety regulations, and quality standards.
· Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MS Project, and other civil engineering/project management software.
· Expertise in budgeting, BOQ preparation, vendor coordination, and project cost control.
· Commitment to sustainable engineering practices and operational excellence.
