Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable HR Compliance Specialist to ensure our organization adheres to all applicable U.S. labor laws, regulations, and internal policies. This role will be responsible for maintaining compliance across HR processes, supporting audits, and mitigating risk related to employment practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Someone who can maintain employee records. Leave compliance.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (e.g., FLSA, FMLA, ACA)
- Monitor and update company policies in line with regulatory changes
- Conduct internal audits of HR processes, and employee records
- Manage and maintain employee documentation, ensuring accuracy and legal compliance
- Support external audits and government inquiries
- Track and manage mandatory trainings and certifications (e.g., Monthly and Annual Inservice)
- Maintain compliance reporting and dashboards
- Run background checks and verifications (e.g., OIG checks, license verification, employment verification)
- Manage Form I-9 verification and ensure proper completion, re-verification, and recordkeeping in compliance
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in HR compliance, HR operations, or similar role
- Strong knowledge of U.S. labor laws and regulations
- Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., Viventium, ADP, Workday)
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
