Key Duties and Responsibilities1. Plant Operations Management - Hydel/Gas power generation fields
- Lead and oversee all plant operations to achieve production, quality, cost, delivery, and safety objectives.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to improve productivity, efficiency, and profitability.
- Monitor production performance and implement corrective actions to achieve business targets.
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, materials, and other resources.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational excellence and reduce manufacturing costs.
- Ensure preventive and predictive maintenance programs are effectively implemented to maximize equipment reliability.
- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, consumables, and finished goods to support uninterrupted production.
2. Strategic Project Management
- Develop and implement project strategies aligned with the organization's business objectives.
- Lead capital expenditure (CapEx), plant expansion, equipment installation, modernization, and process improvement projects.
- Define project scope, timelines, budgets, resource plans, and project milestones.
- Ensure successful execution of projects while meeting quality, cost, and schedule requirements.
3. Project Execution and Monitoring
- Provide overall leadership and direction throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor project progress against approved plans and take timely corrective actions to address deviations.
- Ensure effective coordination among engineering, production, maintenance, procurement, quality, and contractors.
- Prepare and present periodic project status reports to senior management.
4. Team Leadership and Resource Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop multidisciplinary teams, including production, engineering, maintenance, quality, and project personnel.
- Allocate resources efficiently to meet operational and project objectives.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct performance reviews and identify training and development needs.
5. Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, contractors, consultants, and regulatory authorities.
- Communicate project progress, operational performance, risks, and key decisions to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Ensure customer requirements and expectations are effectively addressed.
6. Risk Management and Problem Solving
- Identify, assess, and mitigate operational and project risks.
- Develop contingency plans to minimize business disruptions and project delays.
- Resolve complex technical and operational issues through structured problem-solving methodologies.
7. Quality, Safety, and Compliance
- Ensure compliance with applicable quality standards, environmental regulations, statutory requirements, and company policies.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) standards.
- Lead safety initiatives, audits, incident investigations, and corrective action implementation.
- Ensure project deliverables meet approved specifications and quality standards.
8. Financial and Budget Management
- Prepare and manage annual operating budgets and project budgets.
- Monitor operational costs and project expenditures to achieve financial targets.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational efficiency without compromising quality or safety.
9. Project Close-out and Continuous Improvement
- Ensure successful project commissioning, handover, documentation, and closure.
- Conduct post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Standardize best practices and implement continuous improvement initiatives across plant operations and future projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial, or Production Engineering.
- Master's Degree (MBA/Operations) is preferred.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent Project Management certification is an added advantage.
Experience
- 12–18 years of experience in manufacturing and industrial operations.
- Minimum 5 years in a leadership role managing plant operations and capital projects.
- Experience in greenfield, brownfield, plant expansion, commissioning, or automation projects is preferred.
Pay: From ₹80,000.00 per year
