Job Summary
Amend Dental Centre is seeking an experienced Purchase Manager to oversee the procurement of dental equipment, instruments, consumables, and related materials. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in dental purchasing, vendor management, import coordination, and international sourcing. The role requires frequent interaction with suppliers and the ability to travel internationally, including China, for vendor development and procurement activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the procurement of dental equipment, instruments, consumables, and clinic requirements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with domestic and international vendors and manufacturers.
- Identify new suppliers and negotiate pricing, contracts, and purchasing terms.
- Coordinate imports and international procurement activities, particularly from China and other sourcing markets.
- Travel internationally for vendor meetings, factory visits, exhibitions, and sourcing opportunities.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely procurement to support clinic operations.
- Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, delivery, service, and cost.
- Ensure cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality standards.
- Coordinate with finance, operations, and branch teams regarding procurement requirements.
- Maintain procurement records, purchase orders, and vendor documentation.
- Monitor market trends, pricing, and new dental technologies.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and applicable regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
- Additional qualifications in Procurement or Supply Chain Management will be an advantage.
Experience Requirements
- 5–10 years of experience in procurement or purchasing.
- Mandatory experience in the dental industry, including dental equipment, instruments, and consumables procurement.
- Strong knowledge of dental vendors, manufacturers, and suppliers.
- Experience handling imports and international sourcing is preferred.
