Job Summary
Vinmeen ICSE School is looking for a qualified, enthusiastic and committed English Subject Teacher to teach students in Grades
The teacher will be responsible for developing students’ proficiency in English grammar, literature, reading, writing, vocabulary, communication and public-speaking skills. The candidate should create an engaging classroom environment and help students understand and confidently use the English language.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver English lessons according to the ICSE curriculum.
- Teach grammar, prose, poetry, drama, composition and comprehension.
- Improve students’ reading, writing, listening and speaking skills.
- Encourage students to communicate confidently in English.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments and classroom activities.
- Conduct class tests, cycle tests and examinations.
- Evaluate answer scripts and maintain accurate student records.
- Identify students who need additional academic support.
- Provide remedial teaching and individual guidance.
- Encourage creative writing, storytelling, debates, speeches and group discussions.
- Train students in pronunciation, vocabulary and presentation skills.
- Monitor students’ homework, notebooks, discipline and classroom participation.
- Communicate students’ progress and areas of improvement to parents.
- Participate in school events, competitions, meetings and training programmes.
- Work collaboratively with coordinators and other teachers.
- Maintain a positive, disciplined and student-friendly classroom environment.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English.
- B.Ed. qualification is required or strongly preferred.
- Candidates should have a strong command of written and spoken English.
- Knowledge of the ICSE curriculum will be an advantage.

Preferred Experience
- One to five years of English teaching experience.
- Previous experience teaching Grades is preferred.
- Experience in an ICSE or CBSE school will be an added advantage.
- Freshers with strong English communication and teaching ability may also apply.
