vConstruct, a Pune-based Construction Technology company seeks process-oriented individuals for the role of Quality Assurance Engineer - SharePoint to play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest level of quality in our products and services. The candidate will be responsible for implementing quality assurance processes, procedures, and standards. Primary expertise is required in test automation tools like Playwright and frameworks, along with SharePoint and Power Platform exposure, to enable efficient automation, validation, and enterprise platform quality.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Validate enterprise software applications by executing test scenarios and ensuring functional accuracy.
- Analyze user stories and prepare test plans, test cases, and automation scripts.
- Collaborate with business teams for scenario clarification and requirement validation.
- Define and establish test automation strategies and processes.
- Own design, development, execution, and maintenance of automation frameworks (Playwright-based).
- Estimate, prioritize, and coordinate all testing activities across applications.
- Approve/reject feature releases based on quality benchmarks.
- Work across multiple applications and domains simultaneously.
- Document defects clearly and provide reproducible steps to development teams.
- Maintain traceability between requirements, test cases, and defects.
- Contribute to POCs and continuously improve automation effectiveness and ROI.
SharePoint & Power Platform Responsibilities
- Test and validate SharePoint Online solutions, including sites, lists, libraries, and integrations.
- Support SharePoint administration tasks such as permissions validation, site configuration, and governance checks.
- Validate workflows built using Power Automate, ensuring correct triggers, actions, and business logic.
- Perform end-to-end testing of SharePoint + Power Automate integrations within enterprise workflows.
- Collaborate with development teams on M365-based solutions (SharePoint, Teams, Office Apps) to ensure quality and performance.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a QA professional.
- Experience in testing web-based applications.
- Strong experience in both manual and automation testing.
- Hands-on experience with automation tools like Playwright / Cypress.
- Experience developing and maintaining Page Object Model frameworks.
- Experience in API testing using Postman / Swagger / REST Assured.
- Experience contributing to CI/CD pipeline integrations for automation execution.
SharePoint & Power Platform Skills
- Experience working with SharePoint Online (sites, lists, libraries, permissions).
- Basic knowledge of SharePoint Administration and governance.
- Experience testing and validating Power Automate workflows.
- Understanding of Microsoft 365 ecosystem (SharePoint, Teams, Office Apps).
Additional Technical Skills
- Database testing experience (SQL Server, SSRS – added advantage).
- Exposure to performance and load testing (JMeter or similar tools).
- Good understanding of VS Code and extensions.
- Basic knowledge of Azure or cloud platforms.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience with Git-based repositories.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps/Jira for tracking.
- Strong debugging skills using browser developer tools.
Good to Have
- Experience in Python or Java
- Knowledge of GPT/Claude or AI tools for efficiency
- Programming knowledge in JavaScript / TypeScript (preferred).
- Basic scripting knowledge (Linux/Bash/PowerShell)
- Exposure to Selenium
- Understanding of Node.js
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science/Information technology or related field
- Equivalent academic and work experience can be considered
