Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Sales Staff to join our soon-to-be lauched retail outlet at Irinjalakkuda. The successful candidate will be working with our Thrissur main branch for initial one month, and later move to the designated outlet.
Position: Sales Staff – Jewellery Retail
Location: Thrissur
Experience: 3–5 years in jewellery or premium retail sales preferred
Language: Malayalam fluency required; English or Hindi is an added advantage
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Engagement & Product Demonstration
Greet walk-in customers warmly and assist them throughout their buying journey
Understand customer preferences and suggest suitable gold, silver, or diamond jewellery
Explain product features (purity, carat weight, hallmark, origin, design style, etc.) clearly
Promote lightweight collections and premium brands like GLAIN (silver segment)
Sales Conversion
Work proactively to meet daily/weekly/monthly sales targets
Build customer confidence by sharing usage tips, product care instructions, and after-sales service options
Upsell or cross-sell when possible (e.g., suggest matching earrings for a necklace)
Billing & Documentation
Coordinate with billing staff and ensure accurate product codes and prices
Verify offers, discounts, and loyalty points, and explain invoice breakdown to the customer
Ensure all product details are recorded correctly before final packaging
Product Handling & Display Management
Handle jewellery with extreme care and ensure display counters are always clean and organized
Coordinate with inventory manager for restocking and product transfers
Assist in visual merchandising for new collections or promotional events
Relationship Building & CRM
Collect customer contact details and feedback for follow-ups
Inform repeat customers about new arrivals, offers, and special events
Maintain a friendly rapport that encourages loyalty and referrals
Team Collaboration & Showroom Etiquette
Work closely with the marketing team during shoot days or influencer visits
Coordinate with fellow sales staff to handle peak hours or bulk bookings
Follow showroom dress code, grooming, and brand communication standards
Qualifications and Skills
- Graduate
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with billing software.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Experience in the jewelry or related retail sector is a must.
Working Hours
- Regular working hours are typically from 10:00 AM to 7:30 PM, Monday to Saturday.
