SDET – Automation Testing Engineer

Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) with strong experience in Selenium, Java, and API Automation Framework development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable automation frameworks for web applications and APIs while ensuring high product quality and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks using Selenium and Java
- Develop and execute automated test scripts for UI, API, and regression testing
- Build reusable automation utilities and libraries
- Perform API testing using tools/frameworks such as Rest Assured/Postman
- Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines
- Collaborate with developers, QA, and product teams to define test strategies
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with engineering teams for resolution
- Improve test coverage, execution efficiency, and reporting mechanisms
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to release quality
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in QA Automation / SDET roles
- Strong programming skills in Java
- Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver
- Experience in API Automation Testing
- Strong knowledge of automation framework design:
- Hybrid Framework
- Data-Driven Framework
- Page Object Model (POM)
- Experience with TestNG / JUnit
- Familiarity with Maven / Gradle
- Knowledge of Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines
- Good understanding of SQL and backend validation
- Experience working in Agile environments
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud testing platforms such as BrowserStack / Sauce Labs
- Exposure to performance testing tools
- Knowledge of Docker / Kubernetes is an advantage
- Strong debugging and analytical skills
Nice to Have:
- Experience with BDD frameworks like Cucumber
- Exposure to microservices architecture
- Knowledge of security and performance testing basics
Qualification:
BE / BTech / MCA or equivalent degree
