The role focuses on supporting the Business Strategy function throughmarket intelligence, competitive benchmarking, and data-driven insights. The incumbent will be responsible fortracking industry performance, developing Power BI dashboards, publishing league tables, and managing regulatory disclosures (e.g., IRDAI).
This is a high-impact analytical role requiring a detail-oriented individual with strong data handling and visualization capabilities, who can convert large datasets into meaningful business insights and support leadership decision-making.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Market Intelligence Competitive Tracking
- Track and analyzeindustry performance, competitor trends, and market share movements
- Preparemonthly/quarterly league tables and competitor benchmarking reports
- Build structured datasets usingpublic disclosures, IRDAI publications, and industry sources
- Support development ofinsight-driven reports on market trends, product mix, and channel performance
- Identifyemerging trends, growth drivers, and risks in the insurance and financial services sector
2. Dashboarding Data Visualization (Power BI)
- Develop and maintainPower BI dashboards for:
- Industry performance tracking
- Competitor benchmarking
- Internal performance vs market
- Automate reporting workflows and ensureaccuracy, consistency, and timeliness of data
- Work with stakeholders to translate business requirements intointeractive dashboards and visual analytics
- Continuously enhance dashboards for usability, storytelling, and executive consumption
3. Regulatory Public Disclosures
- ManageIRDAI and other regulatory disclosures data collation and publishing support
- Extract, clean, and validate data frompublic disclosures of insurers
- Ensuretimely and accurate preparation of regulatory/industry reports
- Maintain repository ofhistorical disclosures, league tables, and datasets
4. Data Analysis Insight Generation
- Performdeep-dive analyses on:
- Growth trends and drivers
- Product/channel mix
- Distribution performance
- Translate raw data intoclear insights and executive-ready summaries
- Support ad-hoc analysis requests from Strategy, Finance, and Leadership teams
5. Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely withStrategy, Finance, Sales, and Product teams for data requirements
- Support Manager/Senior Manager in preparingpresentations and strategic insights
- Ensure alignment on data definitions and consistency across reports
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Educational Qualifications and Experience
- MBA / Postgraduate in Business, Economics, Statistics, or related field
- 0–2 years (post MBA) or 2–4 years total experience in:
- Market intelligence
- Business analytics
- Consulting / strategy support roles
- Experience infinancial services / insurance preferred but not mandatory
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in:
- MS Excel (advanced)
- Power BI / Tableau (preferred Power BI)
