Job Purpose
The Lady Physical Education Teacher is responsible for promoting physical fitness, sportsmanship, healthy lifestyles, and the overall physical development of students. The role includes planning and conducting physical education classes, organizing sports activities and competitions, ensuring student safety, and encouraging participation in sports while maintaining discipline and inclusivity.
Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Learning
- Plan and conduct engaging Physical Education lessons aligned with the school's curriculum.
- Develop students' physical fitness, motor skills, coordination, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
- Adapt activities to accommodate students with varying abilities and needs.
- Assess student performance and maintain records of progress.
- Integrate health, fitness, and wellness education into classroom activities.
Sports & Co-curricular Activities
- Organize and supervise inter-house, inter-school, district, state, and national level sports events.
- Coach students for various sports and athletic competitions.
- Identify talented students and provide appropriate training and guidance.
- Assist in organizing Annual Sports Day and other fitness-related events.
- Promote participation in clubs, camps, and sports enrichment programmes.
Student Safety & Welfare
- Ensure the safety of students during all physical education classes and sports activities.
- Conduct proper warm-up and cool-down sessions.
- Monitor students for injuries or health concerns and administer basic first aid when required.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of sports equipment.
Administration
- Maintain attendance, assessment records, and student performance reports.
- Prepare annual plans, lesson plans, and activity schedules.
- Maintain inventory of sports equipment and submit requirements for procurement.
- Ensure playgrounds and sports facilities are maintained and safe for use.
Behaviour & Discipline
- Foster discipline, teamwork, respect, and fair play among students.
- Encourage inclusive participation regardless of skill level.
- Uphold school rules and child protection policies at all times.
Parent & Staff Collaboration
- Communicate student progress and participation with parents during PTMs.
- Collaborate with teachers, coordinators, and school leadership for holistic student development.
- Support school events and activities beyond the sports department whenever required.
Professional Development
- Participate in staff meetings, workshops, and professional development programmes.
- Stay updated with current trends in physical education, sports coaching, and student wellness.
- Maintain required coaching certifications and first-aid knowledge where applicable.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) or Master's Degree in Physical Education (M.P.Ed.).
- Valid teaching qualification as per applicable educational regulations.
- First Aid/CPR certification is desirable.
Experience
- 2–5 years of teaching or coaching experience in a school (preferred).
- Experience in organizing sports events and coaching school teams.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
