Job Title: Senior Android Mobile Tester
Location: Bangalore / Chennai
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Android Mobile Tester with a minimum of 5 years of experience to join our QA team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for independently executing testing activities across integration, System Integration Testing (SIT), and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) environments. Additionally, the candidate will create comprehensive testing documentation, including test plans, test cases, and reports, ensuring software quality and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, execute, and automate test cases for Android mobile applications across various testing environments including integration, SIT, and UAT.
- Conduct functional, regression, performance, and usability testing on Android devices and emulators.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product teams to understand requirements and identify test scenarios.
- Manage and maintain testing environments, ensuring proper configuration for different testing phases.
- Independently execute testing activities, log issues, and verify bug fixes in a timely manner.
- Create detailed test documentation such as test plans, test cases, test scripts, and defect reports.
- Support release activities by preparing test summaries and sign-off reports.
- Participate in test environment setup, configuration, and coordination activities.
- Ensure the overall quality, stability, and performance of Android applications before production release.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a mobile tester, specifically on Android applications.
- Strong understanding of Android OS, device compatibility, UI/UX testing, and app deployment process.
- Experience with testing tools such as Appium, UI Automator, TestNG, or similar automation frameworks.
- Proficiency in writing and managing detailed test documentation.
- Familiarity with testing in multiple environments: integration, SIT, and UAT.
- Knowledge of defect management tools such as Jira, Bugzilla, or similar.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with automation testing and scripting.
- Knowledge of continuous integration tools like Jenkins.
- Familiarity with API testing and validation.
- Understanding of Agile and DevOps methodologies.
- Experience in performance testing and load testing of mobile apps.
