Prensa is a national consulting firm specialising in hazardous materials, occupational hygiene, environmental assessments and laboratory services. We support a diverse range of clients across government, infrastructure, commercial and industrial sectors and pride ourselves on delivering practical, high-quality outcomes.
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Asset & Administration Coordinator to join our Melbourne team based in Hawthorn.
This is a key administrative role responsible for coordinating the equipment, assets and consumables that support our consultants and laboratory operations. The role sits within our laboratory team and is focused on ensuring equipment remains organised, compliant, maintained and available when needed. While the role supports technical operations, it is primarily an administration and coordination position rather than a laboratory analyst or field-based role.
You will be provided with training and ongoing support from our laboratory team to undertake equipment compliance activities and in-house calibrations in accordance with documented procedures.

- Coordinate equipment maintenance, servicing, calibration and compliance activities
- Order and maintain stock levels of laboratory and field consumables
- Coordinate operational requirements such as fit testing, test and tag programs and equipment logistics
- Maintain accurate records in accordance with internal quality procedures and accreditation requirements
- Support continuous improvement of asset management systems and processes
- Follow up outstanding actions and assist staff in complying with equipment management procedures
We’re after someone who has experience in administration, asset management, logistics, inventory control, quality systems or a similar coordination role. Ideally, you will also have:
- A high attention to detail and commitment to accuracy;
- Be a strong communicator who is comfortable to hold people accountable when procedures are not being followed;
- An ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment;
- Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvements;
- Strong organisational and time management capabilities
We believe in creating a supportive, inclusive, and diverse work environment. When you join us, you’ll receive:
- A dedicated mentor will be with you every step of the way;
- A varied and rewarding role with genuine ownership and responsibility
- Workplace flexibility and arrangements that support work-life balance;
- A social, engaging workplace culture focused on career development and employee well-being;
- Paid parental leave and leave purchase options
- Five weeks of leave after five years of service
- A ‘Prensa Day’ (additional paid annual leave day)
- Access to the Prensa profit share scheme for eligible employees
- Support for post-graduate study with mutual benefits
- Available to start in August 2026
- A current driver’s licence & access to your own vehicle
- Valid authority to work in Australia
- A solid understanding of Microsoft Word & Excel
If you are highly organised, enjoy working with systems and processes, and are looking for a role where you can make a genuine impact on business operations, we would love to hear from you.
