BODS Operations and Support for BD Customers - SAP BusinessObjects Data Services (BODS) operations involve extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) data across enterprise systems. Key daily operations include managing batch/real-time jobs, designing data flows, and tracking system performance via operational dashboards. Core operations and development processes in BODS include:Extraction & Loading: Connecting to source systems, staging areas, and target databases (like SAP S/4HANA or Data Warehouses) via specific Datastores.Transformation Logic: Applying business rules to data. The Map_Operation transform is critical for managing Database Manipulation Language (DML) codes (INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE, and REJECT).Data Quality & Cleansing: Utilizing built-in transforms like Validation, Match, and Geocode to remove duplicates, standardize records, and ensure governance.
