Job Description:
We are looking for an AutoCAD / SolidWorks Design Engineer with 4–5 years of experience in Mechanical Design and hands-on expertise in AutoCAD and SolidWorks. The candidate will be responsible for preparing and modifying engineering drawings, developing mechanical designs, preparing BOMs, and coordinating with production and project teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation and modification of engineering drawings and layouts
- Development of mechanical designs and fabrication drawings
- Preparation of Bill of Materials (BOM)
- Preparation of Process Flow Diagrams (PFD) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID)
- Preparation of Equipment Layouts, General Arrangement Drawings, and fabrication drawings for tanks, vessels, distillation columns, and skid frames
- Preparation and extraction of piping isometric drawings and piping BOMs
- Preparation of piping fabrication drawings and piping support details
- 3D modeling of equipment, instruments, piping, and support structures using SolidWorks
- Coordination with production and project teams
Required Skills:
- Diploma / BE in Mechanical Engineering or ITI Draftsman
- 4–5 years of experience in Mechanical Design
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D Drafting and Detailing) and SolidWorks
- Experience in PFD, P&ID, Equipment Layouts, and GA Drawings
- Knowledge of fabrication drawings, piping drawings, and BOM preparation
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
