Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Sales & Growth Revenue:
· Achieve Sales Targets: Drive the achievement of sales targets within the assigned area by developing and executing area-specific sales plans.
· Market Expansion: Identify and develop new business opportunities to expand the market reach, including acquiring new customers and increasing market share.
· Promotional Campaigns: Implement promotional and marketing activities, working closely with marketing teams and retailers to ensure visibility and product promotion.
· Pricing & Negotiation: Ensure competitive pricing strategies and effectively negotiate contracts to maximize sales while maintaining profitability.
2. Team Leadership & Management:
· Team Supervision: Lead, manage, and motivate the sales team to ensure they meet sales targets and provide excellent customer service.
· Training & Development: Train, coach, and develop sales team members to improve performance, product knowledge, and customer relationship skills.
· Performance Monitoring: Regularly evaluate team performance and provide feedback, coaching, and performance improvement plans where necessary.
3. Distributor & Retailer Management:
· Distributor Management: Oversee distributor relationships, ensuring they are meeting sales targets, adhering to agreements, and delivering in terms of inventory and delivery timelines & Ensure the DB inventory should be kept as per AK quality standards.
· Retail Relationship Management: Develop strong relationships with key retailers and customers, ensuring they receive excellent service and the company’s products are well represented. Mandate to meet all key accounts/retailers/category persons monthly once to discuss business review & JBP for next 3 months.
Sales Planning & Forecasting: Collaborate with distributors and retailers to create accurate sales forecasts and inventory management plans.
4. Market Intelligence & Reporting:
· Market Trends: Continuously monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and consumer preferences to adjust sales strategies and tactics.
· Sales Reporting: Submit regular sales reports, including updates on performance against targets, customer feedback, and competitor insights.
· Data Analytics: Use data intelligence to analyze sales trends, track KPIs, and adjust strategies to ensure sales objectives are met.
5. Operations & Execution:
· Merchandising & Product Placement: Ensure effective in-store merchandising, product placement, and visibility as per company standards and plans.
